This is a hard one! (that's what she said... I don't know why I just went there.) But seriously, this one may take a while to complete. I will do my best.
Take your time - I've been spending hours on Pandora. Try putting in an artist or song you like, and discover artists you've yet to know.
So I went at this from a different angle and instead picked up a BLUR magazine (which I guess is a music mag from Athens? idk.) But within it I not only got the names of some interesting new artists but was able to read a little about them as well. Check out soem of the websites i pulled out of my reading:
