So I hope everyone had a fun 4th of July yesterday! I went and saw Wall-E yesterday and it was SO good that I HAD to write about it on the blog.
I have to say that I think Wall E was the best movie I've seen all year, and is without a doubt the best movie Pixar has ever come out with. First of all I had to keep reminding myself that I was watching an animated movie - otherwise I would have thought it was real. The animation was that realistic - and not only that, it was absolutely magical looking in the parts when they were out in space. Wall-E was a real treat for the eyes.
Not only should Pixar be commended on their animation prowess in this movie, but also on the very important message they relayed through this movie. Being as vague as possible so I don't give any of the plot away - there was so much social commentary packed into this film - all of it legitimate and extremely important for our society to see. I left this movie feeling like I needed to really commit myself to helping solve the problems I see in our world. It was such a positive experience. Pixar really mixed the perfect amount of depression over what could be happening to our world right now, with of course the uplifiting ending making you think that all is not lost! But Wall-E forces you to own up that all surely will be lost if we don't start acting now.
And even if Wall-E didnt have such an important message, it would STILL be absolutely adorable! Wall-E is totally my favorite Pixar character ever. He's just so sweet! And of course - knowing that I love the movie Hello Dolly, especially the song Put On Your Sunday Clothes, I was extremely happy to see it be featured so much in the movie.
Moral of the story : EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO SEE WALL-E!!!!

I saw this one already and I agree! It may be the top movie of the summer and a shoo-in for the Oscar.
It really should get an oscar.
