In honor of our reading historical, female fiction, let us now knit a new sonorous stocking, stitch together a tuneful quilt, and paint a pleasing portrait of melodic selections that celebrates the musical contributions of our fellow females.
In layman's terms: this month's iTunes Challenge is to make a playlist that features only female vocalists/musicians and spans all decades and genres. Go nuts, girls!

Ooooo, i like this itunes challenge. Good idea case. I have even been thinking lately how i prefer to listen to music by women. not to knock the guys but its just more fun to sing along with.
My list in in formation. I just have like 40 songs on it right now. So i'm in the process of narrowing it down.
and i agree that songs by women are more fun to sing. I think it's partly because all the pronouns are correct. There doesn't have to be any hers changing to hims or anything like that.
I FINALLY finished my Ladies Night playlist! Now that it's not even on the first page of posts and no one will see it unless they go looking for it. oh well. Here it is!

Obviously the 1980's is a black hole of music for me. This is nothing I didn't already know. This is one of those lists that would be better to listen to, because some of the songs - esp in the beginning, I'm sure you guys don't know.
okay, here's my list.
"Feeling Good" - Nina Simone
"Stay (I missed you)" - Lisa Loeb
"Everything is Everything" - Lauryn Hill
"Celebrity Skin" - Hole
"Fever" - Peggy Lee
"Dust and Bones" - Cary Ann Hearst
"A Long Walk" - Jill Scott
"Melt Your Heart" - Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins
